Spontaneous Trips
Many weekend club trips are organized in the last week or two before departure. This is accomplished through the club list-server "Ceyana News" at ceyananews@yahoogroups.com. You must be a club member to use this service. If you have a trip idea and you want some company, send an e-mail to the membership to see who's interested. Try to include as much information as possible. You can cut-and-paste the following template into your e-mail and then fill in the blanks. The blue text is the information you would fill in. For insurance purposes all trips must be approved by an executive members, usually the Trip Chair. This approval or rejection will follow your trip proposal on Ceyana News.
Trip Name & Status: Trip Name and Status (firm, tentative,cancelled...)
River or Lake: Indicate water body to paddle (eg: North Saskatchewan River)
Put-in Point: Specify where you are launching from
Take-out Point: Specify where you are taking out
Start Date: Indicate Start Date
Duration and End Date:Write how many days and nights and the End Date
Sponsoring Club(s): State all sponsoring clubs involved
Skill Level: Specify the required skill level
Travel / Suttle Arrangements: How are you getting to the start, to the finish, and back?
Description and Comments: Write further description and other comments here
